It's the 22nd, which means that there are only 3 days left. Yes, we realize that would make the deadline Christmas, but hey! Writers write regardless, no?
Anyway, if the Yule Tide's not taking up too much of your Yule Time, get on your prose! Your poetry! Your fear! Your rods and cones!
In other news, there have been some questions regarding the time our deadlines and posts adhere to. Ladies and Gentlemen (if I can direct your attention to the instructions found on the left side of the front page), we operate on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) (watch out for British "Summer Time!"). Oddly enough, one of the questions came from an admin here!
On the 16th of December, we also added sort of a new "prize" for winning: a blog-roll. Basically, if you win a topic/theme, we'll forever list your blog here. Not much, we know, but we're building community, right?
Starting in January, you will likely notice that "comment approval" will be turned on. It's not that we like comment approval (I, for one, can't stand it... and I think the other admins are with me on this), but we do like having some semblance of anonymity during the voting process. ALL comments (save spam) will be approved, and the votes WILL be revealed once the winner for a topic/theme is announced. In other words: nothing's really changing.
Also, recognizing that February is a short month and does not allow us to have two regularly-scheduled topics/themes, we're working on coming up with something special/unusual/different for our illustrious second month of the year. Nothing's in stone yet, however, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.
Thanks, and enjoy your holiday!
